1979 GMC Caballero response to Chevrolet El Camino SS Truck. I'm selling my professionally built truck which is now powered by a Mass Air Fuel Injected 6.0L Vortec V-8 engine that is factory rated at 345HP @ 5200 RPM and torque 380 Lb -Ft. @ 4000RPM. (Runs fine on today's premium unleaded fuel.) equipped with headers to a full dual exhaust system. Which adds a nice rumble to the exhaust. Also a heavy-duty aluminum radiator to assist keeping the mill cool. This powerful engine is backed up by a fresh rebuilt Turbo 350 transmission then onward to 3.73 Posi-traction rear end. Optional equipment includes custom harmonizing two-tone vinyl custom bucket seats with aftermarket tach and gauge package, also a aftermarket floor shift has been added. With power steering, power front disc brakes and 134a air conditioning.
The exterior has also received a custom Chevy El Camino SS front nose piece with a custom bright billet grille. It really gives the truck a unique custom look. Hood is a raised cowl and the body has been stripped of any trim pieces, giving it a clean, sleek look. The body has then been taken down to bare metal and a now wears a beautiful shade of Bahama Blue. The wheels are now polished alloys with mini tubs installed in the rear to accommodate much larger radial tires.
The truck is complete and ready to enjoy. Starts, runs and drives great! I have invested a lot of time and money to get my truck to this condition. The work done has been done professionally. I have the original owner's manual, maintenance records and detailed pictures showing the truck while under construction. I haven't driven the truck much since its completion. Truck is sold as is as shown with no warranty. I hold a clear Florida Title in my name. Please call Larry or Dennis for more information or to set up an appointment.
