Alan Pope Racing is excited to now offer our new Sportsman series 2-speed TH400 transmission. Part number SS2-400 is rated for use with up to 2,500 flywheel horsepower, and includes the following great features:

~ GM transmission case and 4" extension housing
~ GM front pump with new gears and adj. pressure regulator
~ .125" torque converter feed restrictor
~ Solid 300M billet steel 30 spline input shaft
~ Custom forward drum with oversize input spline
~ Hard anodized billet aluminum direct drum
~ Pro Mod 36-element intermediate sprag
~ Custom heat treated wide intermediate sprag races
~ 300M billet steel intermediate shaft
~ Billet aluminum intermediate clutch eliminator
~ Forged steel forward clutch hub
~ 7 forward frictions and steels
~ 8 direct frictions and steels
~ High Energy rear band
~ Modified center support to dual feed direct drum
~ Thrust washers replaced with Torrington bearings
~ Teflon sealing rings
~ GM gear sets, 1.48:1 low gear ratio
~ Low roller clutch deleted
~ Pro Series 2-speed transbrake valve body, Powerglide forward shift pattern (Billet version available)
~ High flow filter
~ Deep cast aluminum pan
