i think the 4/7 swap has something to do with helping harmonic vibration

it allows the exhaust to flow better and moves the hot spot as well.... which frees up horse power

here is a good 5 page write up in hot rod as they explained it all and tested it...... very good read

No way your getting 30 hp more by changeing the firing order,5-10 if your lucky.

No way your getting 30 hp more by changeing the firing order,5-10 if your lucky.
the one show on speed tv(cant remember which it was) their was on a $3500 crate edelbrock motor.... they dyno'd it right out of the crate and then swapped just the cam for the 4/7 and it made 30 more horse and more torqe...... with the same carb and intake

actually it was on horse power tv..... they used a edelbrock $3500 crate motor.

You will get different results on different motors. Stating a 30hp increase is a large blanket statement. Some may others will not.
