questions about nitro cars

I am a nitro guy Ive been around the circus, 13 years..
the numbers you mention sound more like Nostalgia funny cars
and not the John Force fuel floppers,..
They also could have been nitro coupes similer to Pro Mods.
But in most cases any car that runs say more than 70-80 % nitro in the tank, they are pulling the pan minimum to inspect the bearings, and or leaking down the heads to determin wether the heads are pulled off,..If its a big show car then yes mandatory to tear the motor all the way down.
yes all licensed to the Nhra, and most to Ihra
You say they had 526 ci motors,..that is not topfuel, nor fuel funny cars
all the fuel cars that run in the nhra have a max cube of 500ci,..
if they are nostalgia floppers they vary from 421ci to 496ci some a little bigger but not many at all.
The 526 ci is the standard for blown alcohol floppers and majority of promod,..526ci is the max limit in the nhra with a screw blower.
