Those of you who have read through here probably know that my son is in the army as a blackhawk pilot. He called me yesterday to tell me that he made CAPTAIN. I am so proud I just had to share the news.

Dear Friend of Freedom Alliance,
There is no better symbol of our country’s values and traditions than the flag of the United States of America. The Star-Spangled Banner was chosen as our flag by the Continental Congress on June 14, 1777. This Flag Day marks the 232nd birthday of our beloved American Flag.
“Old Glory” is a symbol of honor for us all. On Flag Day, June 14, fly it proudly in honor of our brave soldiers, sailors, airmen, Marines and Guardsmen, who go into battle under it and sacrifice their lives to protect it. Fly it as a reminder of our freedom and sovereignty and pray that this flag will continue to unite us a nation.
From our Founding Fathers on down, let us honor those who have pledged allegiance to our flag and have sacrificed to secure our freedom.
This Flag Day, and everyday throughout the year, Freedom Alliance works to protect our sovereignty and pay tribute to our men and women in uniform through our Support Our Troops program. The Freedom Alliance Support Our Troops program is a year-round outreach which honors those who have been wounded in combat and are recuperating in military hospitals throughout the United States, as well as those currently serving on the frontlines.
Through the generosity of so many patriotic and generous Americans the Freedom Alliance Support Our Troops program provides monetary grants to combat-wounded servicemen and women. One of these heroes, SPC Riddle, thanked Freedom Alliance for his grant in this way: “Thank you so much for your generous support. I cannot tell you how much this means to me. I really appreciate you making a special trip down here to make this happen.”
SPC Riddle, the father of four children, was injured during a military-training accident and suffered head and back injuries. His grant was used to take care of necessary family expenses.
We were also pleased and honored to provide a grant to Army Specialist Morgan, who suffered burns to his arms and injuries to his brain and abdomen resulting from an IED blast in Iraq. SPC Morgan was awarded the Purple Heart and used his grant to help with the day-to-day expenses of caring for his daughter.
On this Flag Day, please help us continue to honor the men and women who wear our nation’s uniform and fight for freedom and the preservation of “Old Glory” by flying the American Flag proudly.
On behalf of everyone at Freedom Alliance, may God bless you and may God bless the United States of America.
Gratefully,
Thomas P. Kilgannon
President
P.S. Today is the 234th Birthday of the United States Army, so please shake the hand or acknowledge anyone who has served or is currently serving in our Army.
