76 Camaro 4link full chassis car. 434 SBC, Glide, 4:86, carbureted on alky went 5.61 @ 126 during shake down runs a little over a month ago at 3700+ ft density altitude.

Still working on carb trying to get enough fuel thru it. There's probably some low 5.50s or high 5.40s in it in good air. Engine has 16 passes on it now and I'm still tweaking on the tuneup. To be continued!

This is my old car which I built back in 1995 but have now sold. It was a very fast car 12yrs ago & is still a fast car now. The record was 10.36 by a blown car when I entered the field & proceeded to destroy the existing record. I had other drivers protesting me & had regular cylinder volume tests performed to make sure I wasnt cheating.

CAR:
1970 Holden Torana GTR (coupe) rear-halved (tubbed)
All steel & street-legal weighing 2742lb

ENGINE:
352ci sbc
GM 010 4 bolt block with cast caps
GM steel crank
Romac balancer
ARP studs top & bottom
Venolia forged pistons 14 to 1
Manley 6" steel H beam rods
Brodix -8 heads, ported & flowed, 2.08" in/ 1.625" ex., Vascojet springs
Crane 1.6 rollers
Crane stud girdle
Erson roller cam
Comp Cams belt drive
Victor Ram with twin 660 c/s
NOS Pro Shot Fogger & twin plates, running 350hp gain

TRANS:
GM Powerglide with manual v/body & transbrake
6200rpm stall convertor

REAREND:
MW 9" with 35 spline axles
Nodular head
Pinion support

ACCOMPLISHMENTS: All in the first season.
NZ's Fastest street-legal door car for 8yrs
BB/SM record holder for 8yrs, 9.191 @ 144.69mph 1/4 mile
1.26sec 60ft
Personal best: 9.06 @ 148mph
Ran 10.0 @ 135 n/a.

Leaving the line at 6100rpm shifting at 8800rpm.
All the nitrous was dumped into the engine when the transbrake was released.
Used to snap the centre main cap frequently & fracture cranks but it never laid down any oil & used the same block for the entire season.

ok i cant get my ducks in line. i have a 68 all steel backhalf camaro. 5:13 gears 31x18.5 pro ets. bbc 496 pump gas motor 350 turbo with not enough stall. the car hooked good once raped the ring and pinion which was a 3:89. i know a tad high for the 1/8. with the 5:13 it wouldnt hook too much air in the tires i learned. my best et was 7.5 at 94. something 60 ft was 1.5. i feel like the car should go a little faster. really a car like it running a 6.68 with a baby block. my motor is making 600 hp. you guys know more than me what should i expect to run bug free?
