PS it was way under carbed AND LEAN. NEW, BIGGER, RIGHER CSRB GOING ON TODAY. THANKS ART
I've got 5.43 gears, 5500 stall PTC converter with Brodix track 1 heads whitch is garbage for flowing, 14X32 GY's. But i run Alcohol with a toilet bowl. I keep a 7200 chip in for 1/8 mi. it runs 6.52@103/104. when i run the qtr. i pull the chip out and it runs 7800 in the traps 10.59 @ 125 mph
The cam is installed at 102*. I'm certain that it would run quicker with a shorter cam like 255 and 264 with about .630 lift.
I don't have any overheating issues, but alcohol runs cooler, in fact i almost never turn on the water pump or the fan. I've never had issues with overheating with the 400 blks even on gas, but i did have to run the water pump and the fan with gas. I have always ran a restrictor in the water neck/ thermostat housing.
