yeah I know what you mean...my car is the closest thing to the original 10.5 car as it gets..steel roof and qtrs, stock wheel base 2x3 main frame rails, stock firewall...the only thing that mine had done to it that the original 10.5 class guys didn't have back in the day was front struts which could be changed back pretty easy.

back in the late 90's a 5.0 or 5 teen could still win you a 10.5 race...not anymore.......there will still be 4.50's and 60's run this up coming memorial weekend....I am just hoping my car can win a few rounds..I got a good 60ft...gotta chop the tree down get out there quick and hope they cannot run me down in time...lol

by the way what do you have ?
No matter what rules you change / add a class (which usually means you are just dividing a class) if it's popular guys that do have the unlimited race budgets will get in it. Dividing classes is what's hurt mud racing so much. The more classes you have the fewer trucks you have in each class which means less payout, which means fewer trucks come back next month until there is not much left. I fully understand what you're trying to do and hope it works, but it seldom does for us.
Racing on any level in any motor sport is gonna have guys that have the money to ruin all the fun for us average folks. lol
Put a $20,000 buy out rule on the cars and that wil teach the rich folks from spending so much! lol
GOOD LUCK AT THE RACE BJ! Let us know how you do.
