I didn't mention before, 440 Mopars came with forged cranks all the way mid way through 1973. Also the standard "LY" (i think) rods are capable of anything up to around 600 hp. The heavy duty 6pack rods are tough, but HEAVY. The forged cranks are really tough and very capable of a pounding. Not sure what your power/rpm goals are or your budget, but stock Mopar forged stuff is pretty sturdy. Just make sure you don't end up with a cast crank/balancer. They are OK, but I wouldn't run them in front of a 4-gear.
If you find a cast set of heads, be careful before putting $'s in them. Get a quote for all cleaning, magging, machining etc. and price out decent valvetrain parts. By the time you are done, you might be awful close to a set of decent assembled aluminum heads. The aluminum heads will tolerate at least 10.25:1 on a premium pump gas mopar and will take some weight off that beast.
Just food for thought........
