Let’s be honest. all trucks and cars have good and bad points. It really boils down to personal preference, but ford has some serious issues in the last 4 or 5 years with diesels. the old 7.3 was the last good motor, which was made until early 2003. It had some issues as well. Mostly injector (which will cost about 2,000 to replace) and camshaft sensor problems. NEVER REPLACE 1 INJECTOR. At least do all 4 on a side. But it’s always better to replace all 8 at the same time.
If you’re dead set on a ford do yourself a favor and give the new 6.4 (2008) some time to prove itself. In the meantime, I bought a chevy and will probably never own a ford again.
Fyi. My family owned a ford dealership for almost 40 years. I’m the ONLY person in my family drives any GM product. Yea I catch hell for it, but I’m proud to be the black sheep of the family!! (good song by saliva too!)
Dodge, i'm not sure about. NOBODY drives them around here. Must be a reason. Someone once told me never buy something that gives you directions on the tailgate. DODGE. definition: Move quickly to avoid something :!: :!:  Not sure about that but... kidding but i do know they are LOUD and don't have the resale value of a Ford or Chevy.
