What balancer to use on sbc?

Currently have a 8 inch competition Products balancer on my 355. Want to upgrade to a sfi rated balancer. Is there any benifits to running a smaller balancer? If I go smaller is there anything else i need to change?

I've used ATI and Fluidamper. Both seem to do a good job.

ATI if you want the best, TCI for a strong number 2, and Pro Race for a good number 3..
All depends on how much you want to spend.

should i stay with the 8 inch one?

What Balancer

8" is better for your bearings and rotating assembly. 6 1/4" is better for performance. Take you pick or call ATI and get their advise.

ATI X10

ATI, Later J.Smith 4621 racing

ATI and stay big, controlling harmonics will benefit you better than trying to lose what little rotating weight you will change with the smaller balancer.

Very often overlooked issue jmark. ATI 8" without a doubt.
