What cam would be best for me 427 BBC

Okay after a tuff season, if you read my last posts,,, im pulling the motor down all the way for a full inspection. I need to put in a new cam. I have 14:1 SRP pistons with 1:7:1 rockers I am going to keep it a solid lifter cam. the car is a 1972 nova wieghs about 2900 pounds without driver, running a 427 BBC Pro Comp Aluminum heads 110cc w/over size valves " dont remember the size but there BIG, It has been bored 60 over running Holly 850cc carb. crank has been machined to 10:10. I am replacing the Dampner with a liquid one and having everything rebalanced just because I have the time. Ford 9" rear end with 4:56's Tranny is a turbo 400 with trans brake it stalls at 4,800 RMP's. I hope this is enough to get some good ideas from you all. I plan on replacing the lifters but my rockers are in good shape.

Car best time this last season ws 11:49 at 117 mph in the 1/4 mile at 4,800 feet elevation corrected is over 7,000 feet. I would like to get it down to the low 11's this next year.

Thank you for your comments.... :!: :!:

If you insist on a solid flat tappet:
Comp Cam # 310B-8 = 270/276 at .050, .638/.631 lift.

If the heads are up to the task, and I think they're not a 722/722 solid roller from Lunati would really wake things up.

IMO> a good breathing 14-1 427 should be sucking air via a 1050 dominator, that move alone would be worth at least a half sec.

"gunho" ,a member here, runs those heads on his BBC. He says they work well on his engine and hasn't had any problems with studs pulling out or the other stuff you read online about them.... PM him and see what he says. JMO

I have ran those heads all season long without a single problem withthem... So i shoudl really go to a 1050cc carb? WOW I figured that wouldbe way to much. Im sending my carb into a shop for full overhaul can they modify the one I have to be bigger?

I only meant he may have a suggestion on the cam since he is familiar with the heads you have and how they work.
