powerglide built for circle track if the rules allow...if not run an old saginaw three or 4 speed. My uncles run a very expensive trans that is weird...you push the clutch in to take off or something like that...some sort of direct drive crap...will need to ask them the details cause I may have screwed up that description.

Street Stock

Go with the the 350 cc if your rules allow it. The powerglide is a good trans for circle track but they can get pricey. Have a good shop "chassis" your car and you will save time and money in the long haul. :D

The Last Car i Built was for a Dirt 3/8 mile Track.
Motor?Sometimes,Mostly 383 other Times 355.
P/Glide Trans-You dont Need anything Special!!! 500-600 MAX!
Car Had to Weigh 3200 with a 4BRL,3100 with a 2BRL
9" Ford Rear,6.30 Ring and Pinion, and a 6.50,MOTOR Change would also Change the Gear!
The 383 would Turn about 6300 to 6500 down the Backstrech.
The 355 would turn right at 6800.
This Car would Run in the Top 5 every NIGHT!
And with the Rite SHOE,it was HARD to BEAT!!!!!!!!!!!!
