HOW LONG SHOULD THE TRANSBRAKE BE ON???????????

I have 632BBC 1.76 Powerglide 4500 stall 8" converter and 4.88 9". What pill should i run in my 2 step for the transbrake launch for the 4500 stall converter. Can i Run a 4400???? How long can i rev the motor on this RPM limiter on the line(2-3 secs???)Before the light goes green. In other words when shoul i plant it(maybe as late as possible to save trans life).Or should i run a lower rpm pill for my launch on the 4500 converter.Any advise will be much appreciated.

If i recall while on the trans brake you will see temps rise 50 degrees every second. Don't quote me as i haven't looked at mine even in awhile while on it..

Any way hit it at the last minute possible that you feel comfortable with.

As for no coller i wouldn't even move my car with out a cooler on it.. You have made any pass's yet this year and used the brake you ight as well plan on rebuilding that tranny soon..

As for were to set the limiter that all depends on how well the car works and track conditions...

Hope that helps..

A cooler is a good way to add extra fluid(like a deep pan)if nothing else.I'd run a cooler if were me,ESPECIALLY if it has a brake.JMO

I'd never run one without one either. From what I understand every 20° temperature drop in your trans doubles it's life. So keep it cool. :D

are you running a stock 176 with a 632? yes u need to run a cooler ,i alway try to run my twostep 900 to a1000 below flash of the converter

AGAIN , LIKE EVERYONE ELSE HAS STATED GET A GOOD COOLER AND A DEEP PAN. I HAVE MY TRANS BRAKE SET AT 4200 RPM WITH MY 4600 STALL. I LIKE TO HAVE A SHORT RUN AT THE FLASH. AS FOR HOW LONG TO STAY ON THE T-BRAKE? I TRY TO STAGE LATE AND AS SOON AS MY 2ND BEAM IT LIT, I AM BOUNCING OFF MY CHIP. BUT I ALSO CHANGE MY FLUID EVERY TEN RUNS, NO MATTER WHAT, IT IS CHEAP INSURANCE. I HOPE THIS HELPS, GOOD LUCK

Three words. Starting line enhancer!!! If you are using a delay box. If you are on the brake 2 seconds one round and 1 second the next it will be hard to get consistency out of it I believe.

Get a good cooler. Also drop your stage RPM to between 3500 and 3800. You may even pick up ET letting if flash that way.

One thing to be careful about is it does not matter when on the brake if there is a cooler or deep pan, when on the brake the fluid is not being pumped, hence such the high temps created. Now the cooler and the deep pan will cool the fluid quicker when making the run.
