Car roof rack understanding

I'm in the market for a high-quality car roof rack, and I thought there's no better place to seek advice and recommendations than this amazing forum community. So, I'm reaching out to all of you experienced travelers, adventurers, and outdoor enthusiasts who have had some hands-on experience with various roof racks.

My car model is [insert your car model here], and I'm looking for a roof rack that is not only sturdy and durable but also easy to install and versatile enough to carry different types of gear. I plan on using it for a variety of purposes, including transporting sports equipment like bicycles, kayaks, and snowboards, as well as additional luggage for family trips.

Here are a few specific questions I have:

1. Which brands have you found to be the most reliable and trustworthy when it comes to roof racks?

2. Are there any specific models or types of roof racks that you would recommend for my car model?

3. How easy or difficult is it to install these roof racks? Do they require any additional tools or professional assistance?

Please share your experiences.

As I recall, Thule and Yakima are widely regarded as leading brands in the roof rack market. They're well-known for being solid, good quality, and having a load of choices.
And then there's Rhino-Rack, right? It's worth it for the more heavy-duty stuff, that one.
