Anyone else have problems receiving checks or payments from this guy Jim johnson from PoppaJ racing?
He has told me he 2 sent payments on 3 different occasions and nothing has arrived. On the phone he gets a little testy but emails seem to be sent by someone else promising the "check is in the mail". He used the sick in hospital, and son forgot to send, and now lost in the mail excuses, already. 2.5 weeks for 2 different payments sent on 3 different occasions from OH to MD makes me feel that something is not right with this guy. Everytime I call, he says check is either sent or is going to be repalced and sent. Now all I get is the answering machine. Jim Johnson from Reynolds OH telephone number 614-806-6006 |
Mr Johnsons son (Casey) contacted me 3/7. Now is stating they want the part they sent me back BEFORE sending my part or payment.
I am sending their part back and will see if NOW they can get their problems and stories straight. Overall situtation: Johnson wants to trade pan for fuel pump. 2/8 I state pan would cause me to cut k frame to fit, he states try it, if it does not work he will send 300 to cover the pump and return shipping on pan 2/9 I agree to send pump 2/10 and he agrees to send pan 2/10 I send pan 2/9 he gets 2/14 he sends pan 2/15 red flag goes up I get pan 2/20 and immediately email and call him telling him pan will not work and I can not use it, I have it boxed up in truck 2/20 Johnson says he will send check 2/20 Johnson says in hospital sent check 2/24 Johnson says replacing first check sending 2/29 red flag 2 goes up Johnson notified no checks received 3/6 red flag 3 is up Johnsons son emails and says when pan is back will send pump 3/7 red flag pole is sagging now (Remember they have told me 3 different times the payment is sent...) Johnsons son blames this on MOPARTS members telling him I sell bad parts, (remember he HAS HAD MY PUMP for more than 2 weeks.) Now, after all this, Johnson stating check is sent, replacement check is sent, mumbo jumbo. I am still going to send him his part back FIRST and again wait for Johnson and son to send either my pump or the payment. I never expect anyone anywhere to send me parts before payment, I refund and pay shipping both ways if I make a mistake. I will always keep everyone notified of everything about a tansaction and correct any error immediately making sure I keep my end of the deal. |
Ok there Jim, Casey, or email writer, the FedEx tracking number for the return of the oil oil pan is 468400810043011
I told you I would send pump 2/10 sent 2/9 I told you I would send pan 3/7 sent 3/7 You told me you would send pan 2/20 sent 2/15 after pump gets to you You told me checks in in mail 2/20 You told me checks in the mail 2/24 You told me checks in the mail 2/29 You then tell me 3/7 to send the pan back and check or pump would be returned. |
Now Mr Johnson's son "Casey" has received and signed for his pan 3/11/07, at the address it was sent from on 2/15.
I am waiting for this "honest" group to either send my fuel pump or the money they offered for the pump(after getting and inspecting it). AND gee, for some strange reason neither of those mailed checks ever showed up.... I better go and file rifled and lost complaints with the US Postal service, it is now 3 plus weeks.... Here are those emails from this group. It takes 2-3 days for the shipping so Please do this next week so this can be ended. I noticed you waited until you received the fuel pump to ship the pan. Is this what is going on here? and none of those mailed payments ever arrived.. |
looks like you've been had. that sucks. Keep on em. I would bug the crap out of them until I got my pump.

More reliable information from this HONEST MOPARTS MEMBER: JIM JOHNSON AND SON CASEY JOHNSON. when asked why when he received his "oil pan" back tues 3/11 I have not gotten my pump back he sends a new delaying BS reply.

AGAIN this outfit has had a excellent condition with all fittings BG fuel pump for nearly a full month now and is claiming to have sent payment 3 times, and now shipped the pump back with a bogus UPS tracking number...     |
A "pump" arrived back at my location today that is so obviously NOT the pump sent to him/them, it is getting ridiculous.
I have very clear digital pictures of the pump I sent and this piece of shit pump he returns matches the piece of shit oil pan he tried to trade for my good fuel pump. He had used pipe wrenches on the oil pan and it clearly shows this pump has had pipe wrenches or vice grips used on the fittings. The scratch I put in the Barry Grant decal was not there, the decal on this pump is all there and faded out, the -2 oval sticker was not on the pump returned. The pump returned, has clear deep gouge marks and thread damage, plus the filter is mounted on the opposite side. This scum of the earth switched pumps while bashing and lying for over a month. Both Jim Johnson and Casey Johnson stole a part and accused me of being the dishonest person, they lied over and over, and now they have the balls to send this piece of shit and hope it will settle everything. Their origional "excellent condition" pan had damage all over it, welded up seams with silicon sealer all over the seams, and the pickup was siliconed in and welded back together(it was at one time broken in two pieces). 4 different people looked at and inspected it and said not to even try to repair, even the manufacturer (Charlies Oil Pans) would not even attempt to repair the piece of shit. Now I understand why they did not want to send anything before they received my pump, Jim and Casey were afraid they would get a matching piece of shit to the part they sent me... This will not end here, I will drag both of their worthless butts into MD court with pictures of my pump and this pump and get my damages plus attorney fees. The attorney inspected both my pump prior to shipment and after this pump was delivered. The same attorney inspected the oil pan when recieved and when pacjkaged up then taken directly to FedEx for its return to Jim Johnson Crooks and Son. |
How or can a picture posted to this forum? I would be glad to show everyone both pumps for them to see the differences.
Now, after calling Jim Johnson AGAIN, Jim Johnson is going to pay for the pump (again) and states I AM the total problem with this whole deal. I have done each and everything exactly or before I said I would do them. While he and his son have lied over and over and over PLUS send different pump back... I have FedEx shipping documents, date stamped pictures, and the 10-15 emails to show all the lies and backtracking for the judge to read. Come Fri 3/21/08 it will be too late. I will issue the summons for them both to show up and explain this to a judge in MD District Court, where the transaction was initiated from, and get their asses hit with the judgement and leins... They both know about this and will never reply here on RJ....... Jim Johnson 614 806 6006 email address [email protected] Casey Johnson 614-589-3939 email address [email protected] |
PHR, I have been reading your posts and you are thorough and well documented. Kudos to you for handling the issue fairly, logically and without any mudslinging.
Represent these guys to the judge as a business using the internet as their primary delivery vehicle for getting their business known. They do business in all 50 states and if unincoporated could reasonably be considered a sole proprietor. If you can convince him that they are doing business as a real business (hope they are showing taxable gains on their 1040s) then you can sue them here and require them to represent. Failure to defend should be a default judgement correct? At least it was last time I was in small claims court. At the least see if you can find people who have dealt with them, get some kind of email or documentation and call the Johnson's state attorney general. At least you can start taking the value of that pump out of the efforts they will have to take to defend and respond. There is state case law that supports this as I found when I was dealing with a long distance rat in AZ. Best of luck- This whole business smells of deceit. Just my humble opinion. Later |
latest reply from Child, Casey Johnson
just like I have had to do in the past... so people have taken you to court a few times eh? But really in all honesty, I dont know what you are talking about. Straighten this out with my father. I am not the one who shipped the pump. Casey "Peter Ripley, Sr." <[email protected]> wrote: The pump returned is not the pump I sent you, my marks and the marks in the lables are completely missing on the pump that was shipped back. Straighten this out or off to MD Disctrict court you go Then you will pay or I will file liens on everything you own and file immediately with all 3 credit reporting agencies, just like I have had to do in the past... My reply to this schuck and jive: From the child Casey Johnson: so people have taken you to court a few times eh? Your distorted reading and comprehension of the written english language is apparent. Never in my 60 years has anyone anywhere taken me to court. See I take care of all problems like an HONEST MAN, not a stealing little boy. You on the other hand will be making a trip to Maryland to tell your stories to a judge. I have a 100% winning record against people that have tried this in the past. Judges also love to give punitive damages for violations of the law then your credit rating will tank with the 9 on YOUR credit reports... All credit issurers will follow through with MASSIVE rate increases and no further credit will be issued to you or your pal Jim until I am paid in full. Then YOU and Jim can PAY for the release to have the 9 removed from the reports... costs are about $1500 per credit reporting agency. The statutory interest rate is 1.5 percent of the default judgement PER MONTH until paid, plus all costs and attorney fees... Both Your names and FULL CONTACT INFORMATION are being read and judged on the internet and have been read 370 plus times already, great PR there bucko....Your dad wasted the 50 bucks to join RacingJunk.com,( yup they are monitoring this also.... they HATE SCAMMERS) Your song and dances have come to an end...and this is just another example of your smoke and mirror attempts to steal my part.. It won't work there bucko, I will rag you out until the day I die then pay someone else to continue until it is settled. 3/21/08 I cut the legal eagles loose to fly and land square on both of your worthless asses and you can take that FACT, to your DAD. |
When the heat gets turned up here are the latest from these guys.
latest emails from this "group" from the hotheaded know it all kid: He told you the pan was not perfect, thats why he only wanted 200 bucks for it. The pan is in pretty damn good condition, yes it is an OLD super stock pan. I dont fucking care if you didnt like it you dont back out on deals, plain and simple. Have you even contacted my father about this you prick? or you just feel the need to bitch to his son for a few hours? I didnt make any deal with you because i know who you are. You can say your not a scammer but i know you are facts are facts. You can stop emailing me about your bullshit, I have nothing to do with you. THIS IS NOT MY DEAL! Is that clear? You contact my dad from here on out. Have a great life, Casey Fauss-Johnson Seems the idiot is surfacing real clear... this was sent AFTER he told me to contact HIM to deal with this....getting the clear picture now? My reply to this email: You are a lying bag of shit that is going to be clamped in a vise by a MD judge. Jim Johnsons' latest email: I didn't say anything to you about shipping but I will send some to cover pump on return shipment.I will send a check for $330.00 ($300 for buying the pump and $30 for shipping) the pump I sent you back (which is the one you sent me) had a BG fuel filter like the one in the photo on the left, The pump on the right doesn't even have a filter on it??? Jim This is the 4th time he is sending money.......  His little boy emailed and explained how they were so HONEST they were refunding shipping, and DID NOT, just sent back old beatup BG pump with filter mounted after the return line with pipe wrench marks and gouges all over it. My reply: The pump that arrived, had the filter mounted after the pump. Looks like there is some serious house cleaning needed at this outfit, if they plan on selling anything to anyone. If a part is deccribed as "excellent condition" and they send a "old superstock pan in pretty damn good condition" that just happens to be rewelded with every part on it either dented or poorly repaired, they are going to have this exact same problem over and over. Lets just hope the Dad steps in and does the right thing.... time will tell. He has until 3/21/08. |
PHR
Gentlemen,
PHR has had bad press on him on all the forums..He contacted me wanting to trade me for a oil pan that I had. So I told him over the phone I would trade and that is where I made my mistake.. Do not deal with him you will be sorry , I am...This is about his fifth new net name..I did not see the threads on the problems that other people had till it was to late...I have been racing for 34 years and do not screw anyone PERIOD! I guess all I can do is send him some money and see if he sends me his fuel pump back? I have a 65'coronet with a all alloy 588 and a 63'savoy that is a legal and competitive SS/EA car, you can imagine how much money I have in these cars... I have more things to do then cheat someone over a used fuel pump for a street car...poppaj |

hey lively you "state"
ABSOLUTELY NO PICS TO BACK EITHER SIDE UP I asked before and ask again, explain how to do it and I will post them...both the pump I sent and the pump I got back.... (just exactly like I sent to Jim Johnson, when it arrived back over a month later..) Have Jim post the pictures of his pan........if he cares to do so...have him explain the dents, weld repairs, and the silicon on the pan itself and the "repaired" pickup that he "forgot" to tell me prior to the trade... He also "forgot" to tell everyone that I was told if I did not like the pan he would pay for the pump. Minor details missed........ I have a 66 Plymouth Belvedere with a KB 580 full roller Hemi, Gf5r, and MW Pro Dana that I am lightening up a tad, so I know a few things about parts and their condition, and yea I have changed my name, Peter H Ripley 4-5 times haha, nice try, Typical "Moparts" BullShiter .....phr |
In the help section there is a tutorial on hosting and posting pictures
Here is the link http://forums.racingjunk.com/viewtopic.php?t=2876 If you need further assistance just hollar Tom |
This might work
PHR, I believe that you need a website with a URL to host the Pics. Then when you post a reply to a thread here you will see a box that says "IMG". If you click this it asks for the URL of the hosting site. I believe this is how to do it. Alt P is the function control.
But try this if thats unclear. Go to Google PICASSA foto hosting or photobucket. Upload the pics, copy the link and post the access password. Then the readers of this forum can take a look. Just some suggestions. The Mods might be a better help. Later |
Hey Jim Johnson you state
"I did not see the threads on the problems that other people had till it was to late" post a link to these "threads" so all can see who is lying their ass off... I am a big boy and can take it.....and will reply to everything you care to post......   Just remember YOU are the one that has sent payments 3 times already, and are NOW sending payment again.... |

notice the BG400 label on the pump I sent with the wear completely through the label caused by the Bg strap mount..and the oval -2 emblem. The filter was also mounted correctly prior to the pump.
On the pump sent back, the label mark(s) were not there the filter was reversed(backwards) and the oval label was not there it had the old square label that was painted over... this pump has been painted several times... the label is old and has several other wear marks, the body also has semi deep gouge marks on the sides through the red anodizing... real simple here guys..... |
and just to mention:
I reply rapidly and clearly with no mud slinging or second hand FALSE bs this is the real true test for scammers..... lets see how long or if ever those pictures of that oil pan show....   |

Here is the latest email after pictures posted: from the son who told me today 3/18/07 to deal ONLY with his father... after his Father told me it was the same pump I delivered to him........................
I want this done and over with just as much as you do, so looks like i will do it myself. First of all I now realize you have every right to be mad, He should not have sent you the WRONG PUMP. I just talked to him and he does want to make it right as well. He wants to just buy your pump and for you to send that back to us at our expense, he is a little cautious you will not send the pump out, but i told him we are just going to have to trust you, you havent screwed us yet. So, If you care anymore you have my word We will send you 300 + 20(shipping) for the pumps. Is this ok, or would you like to drag it out some? Not trying to be a smart ass here, but i do not like a lot of bullshit. Casey Fauss-Johnson This is from the guy that said I was the crook and scammer, and after his father already told me on the telephone last night he was AGAIN sending 330.00 for the pump and return shipping... and that he was positive he sent my pump back because he only had one... NOW they seem to have realized they sent me the wrong pump........wow what a group. Here is my last reply to both he, his father, and anyone else that reads his/their emails: The shipping on the pan was $15.00, the return shipping on this pump will probably be the same, $15.00 more dollars. Your father already told me he was sending $330.00 to cover everything. That $330.00 will cover everything. No more emails, action speaks louder than words. All my written words have resulted in my actions, shipping parts to you, and will continue to do so. Your end seems to have problems following through. Again and for the last time, your have until 3/21/08 to settle this in full or I cut the legal boys loose... ....... pictures speak volumes..... PS Lively hope this makes it crystal clear for you, I had a real hard time keeping up with all the stories and different tales from this group also... but that is the way it is when the MOPARTS.COM Clowns start their typical crap.... |

Update number 15 or 16 from the son who said deal with dad only, deal with me, now this... from casey:
aught them loose buddy, nevermind we took your advice and talked to some people about you. We have the low down now, no way and hell i will send you money. I see you have been banned several times for scamming. I heard you one of the best, thats coming from a knowledgable source, so do what you gotta do. Casey Fauss-Johnson He got this from a guy that had a trick titanium bell housing listed for sale for 1700-100 and tried to sell it to me for 2200, I caught the "error" and reffered him to his origional add. (Boy did that piss the mayor of hemi town off    ) Nice try there HEMIFRED from MOPARTS.COM. See Freddy talks real big when noone can respond and he ususlly does it behind peoples back. As to the pictures of the pan: Nice welds and I see you cleaned all the silicon off, I can and will not use something like that.. that is why I returned it to you.. Casey I have never been kicked off any website for scamming anyone, you are bordering on ridiculous. Why aren't you sending me my fuel pump back? Why did you use a fuel pump that you did not own? After talking to your father Jim again, he wanted a PayPal invoice sent to him. I did not have a paypal account, because it costs too much money for the seller of items. (I prefer to send and sellers perfer to receive Cashiers Checks sent expidet or overnight mail.) But to placate Jim Johnson, I went and opened a Paypal account. I sent him an invoice that clearly shows for a BG 400 fuel pump and return shipping for the oil pan and the fuel pump sent in error. As I was typing this, your father Jim Johnson, called me and said he was going to pay the invoice. I will post, if and when, then return the 4 sent payments  and fuel pump your group sent, back in the same container you shipped it to me. I will do this once the money is in my hands... Here is the invoice I sent: Dear Peter H Ripley, This email confirms that you sent an invoice for $330.00 USD to [email protected]. It may take a few moments for this transaction to appear in the Recent Activity list on your Account Overview. ----------------------------------- Invoice Details ----------------------------------- From: Peter H Ripley 6902 Pineway Hyattsville, MD 20782 United States [email protected] Subtotal: 330.00 Total: $330.00 USD Note: Per request from Jim Johnson to pay with a PayPal account for BG400 fuel pump and return of incorrect BG400 fuel pump he returned to me by error. I can do no more for this Johnson crew, it is wasting way too much of my time. Anyone reading this mess make your own determinations about this Johnson crew and the selective Moparts.com crowd they run with... and by doing so, never get put in this postition... PS this is real good for a possible court action also, offering any type or way to pay right from the convience of their home.. I hope Jim Johnson does the corret thing and resolves this... |
The rewelded seam is shown on the top picture, from the front down the curve, the front also has damage. When it got here it had a layer of silicon over that weld, the pickup picture does not show where it was welded together, if you look closely you will also see the rear was caved in..the other side and bottom also have damage. The rails have side damage that was hammered flat also.
Again, these are some of the same pictures he sent to trade and they do not show the extent of the damage or the welded pickup. I gave him my pump because of the pan and pickup, neither were useable. If I could have gotten the pan repaired and sealed, I would have kept the pan...but it would have cost more than a new pan, to do so... Everyone who looked at it said to start over...DO NOT ATTEMPT TO REPAIR. Even Charlies Oils pans, who made it in the first place, would not touch the rails and repairs needed to seal it. I tried it all, PRIOR to sending it back. |
Hey Casey Johnson post the names of anyone I have scammed. You seem to have a real problem telling the truth, about much of anything..
|
the pan is still in the box. Not too mention these pictures were taken before he sent you the pan...
You are lucky my father is a nice guy because i wouldnt have sent you money after you back out on YOUR deal. The pan was fine and you know it. first you said "it wont fit" then you say "it looks like hell" which is it Peter? And if you dont remember there was a whole thread about you with at least 3 people you have scammed, you even knew the peoples names when you talked to me the first time. Dont play dumb with me. You are just another fake, another wanna be who wishes he had a running car. So he is sending your money to you, there you go, you got your wish. I know your just going to screw him over but its ok by the way the name is Casey Fauss-Johnson |
Peter Ripley
Well guys I went ahead and wired him the $330.00 via Paypal...I don't have time to argue with someone over and over, it gives me a headache.
The money is now in his account...He said he would sent the pump out quickly...I hope so  Jim Johnson Pop&Son Performance |
Why would you send him money if you were in the right?
|
Mr Johnson sent the money to a paypal account he had me set up for his paymant.
I sent this email to him and will follow it to the letter, just like everything else I have done in this mess... Mr Jim Johnson The $330.00 payment is in the PayPal account that you requested I set up for your payment. As soon as it is in MY bank account, the pump will be shipped back to you by FedEx Ground. Once in the FedEx system it should take 2 days for delivery. I will send the tracking number when I ship (it will be same day funds clear). Be aware it will have to have an adult sign for the delivery because it is over the PayPal signature release $250 threshold. These are the PayPal companies rules and I will follow them. Any further questions call or email, I will respond asap. Sad this tuned into a mess, we could have probably done future business. PHR Thanks to everyone on RJ who helped in this matter. I thought all along MR Jim Johnson would make this good, he just listened to many many people who give him poor information. I have no anomosity towards him at all. PS: Todd the reason he paid is that he has his pan, my BG400 pump, and someone on his end mistakenly sent me a different BG400 pump, he wants me to return to him. |
Hey Casey, those 3 people were offered $10,000.00 cash to prove anything they said about me scamming anyone, or them. I have never paid one red cent...get the hint...   (one for each f them :P )
The internet is evolving into a place that will eventually be forced to delete posts or information that is false and without any merit, that is meant for no other reason than to do others harm... or the website owners will lose their shirts to the lawyers. It is in its beginnings now, so only post facts and ther will be no problems. |
good now you can delete this post.
