What is Collector Car Nation?

Collector Car Nation is a user friendly, FREE social networking website connecting antique car enthusiasts worldwide, catering to collectors, fans, and racers. Collector Car Nation brings the antique car community together to meet, communicate, share collections, display event schedules, highlight awards won and compete to win online awards.

Does it cost anything to join?

Collector Car Nation is free! All you have to do is register to join the Collector Car Nation community.

How do I sign up?

Click "Register" on the Collector Car Nation homepage and follow the simple sign up process. If you're ready to register now, click here.

Your Account

What is my display name?

Your display name is the name that will appear on Collector Car Nation when you're using the site. A display name is like a screen name or a nickname; it's the name everyone else in the community will know you by.

How do I change my display name?

Log into the site and go to 'My Profile'. Click on the 'Edit Profile' link and then choose 'My Account.' Enter your new display name, then click 'Save Changes.'

How do I change my password?

Log into the site and go to 'My Profile'. Click on the 'Edit Profile' link and then choose 'My Account.' Enter your new password, then click 'Save Changes.'

What if I forgot my password?

Just click on the 'Forgot Password' link above the log in box. On the next screen, enter your email to recover your password.

How do I change my email address?

Log into the site and go to 'My Profile'. Click on the 'Edit Profile' link and then choose 'My Account.' Enter your new email, then click 'Save Changes.'

How do I change my default picture?

Log into the site and go to 'My Profile.' Click on the 'Edit Profile' link and then choose 'Profile Pic.' Upload your new photo from there.

How do I cancel my account and start a new one?

We don't cancel accounts as they are kept for historical purposes. However, you can change your display name, password, and the associated email address with your account so it will appear as a new account.

Using Collector Car Nation

How do I change my profile/personal information?

Log into the site and go to 'My Profile'. Click on the 'Edit Profile' link and then choose the link for the changes you'd like to make: About Me, Profile Pic, Basic Info, Background & Lifestyle, Q&A or My Account.

How do I edit my vehicle information?

Log into the site and go to 'My Profile.' Click on the car you want to edit, then choose 'Edit Car.' Add, edit or change your information, then click 'Update' to save your changes.

I no longer own a vehicle. How do I remove it?

Log into the site and go to 'My Profile.' Click on the car you want to delete, then choose 'Delete Car.'

How do I change my default picture?

Log into the site and go to 'My Profile.' Click on the 'Edit Profile' link and then choose 'Profile Pic.' Upload your new photo from there.

Interacting with the Community

How do I invite fellow enthusiasts to sign up?

Click on the 'Invite' tab. Enter your friends' email addresses, separated by commas. Add a personal note in the second box if you want. Click on the 'invite' button and your invitation will be sent.

How do I search for additional friends?

Click on the 'Search' tab and you can search for other members by email, their display name, or zip code.

How do I accept someone else's friend request?

When you login in any pending friend requests that are waiting your approval/denial will appear under your profile picture in your 'status box'. Click to view these requests. Also, you may view any pending friend requests by clicking 'My Profile', and then 'Friend Requests'.

Your Privacy & Security

Who can see my real name?

You are the only person that will see your real name unless you have entered in somewhere within your profile or showcase page(s). We do not recommend that you display personal information about yourself in publicly viewed locations on the site.

What do I do if someone is harassing/libeling/threatening me?

If you feel you are being threatened by another user on the site, report it immediately, as this kind of behavior will not be tolerated. Email support@collectorcarnation.com or call toll free 866-326-9227.
